Yesterday, I bade farewell to my dearest companion of 18 years. Throughout the myriad of challenges and trials that my life has presented, he has been my unwavering anchor, a piece of my very essence. In moments devoid of joy, he was my light. His acceptance was unconditional, his love a sanctuary. Every return home was greeted by his joyous presence, his playful spirit a constant reminder of life’s simple pleasures.
